It¹s a simple fact.
Without the development of water over the years, California would not
be the place it is today.
And to celebrate this fact, and increase awareness about the critical
role
water continues to play in all our lives, the Metropolitan Water District
has put together a wonderful and very creative project which connects
water and art.
A panel of judges chose 20 pieces which show the imaginative uses and
renderings of water including sculptures, paintings, fountains, gardens
and
even an overflow sewage pond!
All of these pieces are on permanent display throughout Metropolitan¹s
six
-county service area and are free and available for all of us to enjoy.
Hopefully this will not only serve as a catalyst to get us out and about
Southern California in search of Liquid Art, but it will also increase
our appreciation of this precious thing called water that we all, so many
times, take for granted.
Enjoy!
