This seminar will cover the California Friendly® and California native plant approach to landscaping. This session will briefly cover the use of climate-appropriate or native plants; stormwater / irrigation runoff capture; turf replacement; soil amendments; landscape site evaluations; and water-efficient irrigation.

This seminar will describe the big picture and the practical applications of good policies, designs, and practices in maximizing landscapes. It will examine how communities can improve by harvesting water, recycling nutrients, improving soils, providing food, reducing energy, saving water, sequestering carbon and reducing the costs of waste hauling.
