Professional and community activities:
Murray was elected to the Anaheim City Council representing nearly 350,000 residents in the 10th largest city in the State of California. In her capacity as a councilmember, she also represents the City of Anaheim on the Southern California Association of Governments Regional Council, Orange Council of Governments board, and as a board member of the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.
Previous to her tenure on the city council, Murray served several years as a Board Member of the Anaheim Public Utility and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Southern California Association of Governments and was a Vice President of the Orange County Business Council where she established OCMoves, a public-private initiative led by business leaders, public agencies and elected officials devoted to improving county and regional transportation infrastructure. Murray has over 20 years professional experience in the transportation industry representing both private and public sectors to improve mobility in Southern California.
Murray earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach and a master's in Transportation Management from the Mineta Transportation Institute at San Jose State University.
