Professional and community activities:
Marsha Ramos has a lifelong interest in natural resource management and has integrated it into her business, volunteer and public service roles.
Ramos is vice president of Geosystems, Inc., a Glendale-based consulting firm that advises public and private sector clients with real estate and development practices.
Ramos is a former mayor and city councilmember of the city of Burbank, where she also served as a parks and recreation board member and police commissioner, councilmember and mayor. Her current civic and community leadership positions include member of Upper Los Angeles River and Tributaries Working Group, the American Lung Association, Burbank Human Relations Council, and Glendale Noon Rotary.
She was previously recognized by state Sen. Anthony Portantino (D-La Cañada Flintridge) as Woman of the Year and by Business Life magazine with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Ramos earned a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from California State University, Northridge and master’s degree in organizational leadership from Woodbury University.
She and her husband, Dave, have two adult sons in public service.
