Professional and community activities:
Tracy Quinn is the CEO of the Santa Monica-based non-profit Heal The Bay environmental group. Quinn previously served as the California director of the California Water Urban Policy for the Natural Resources Defense Council. She’s dedicated her nearly two-decade career to ensuring safe, sufficient and affordable water for Californians, most recently focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities that face California as it adapts to a changing climate. She’s helped pass state legislation to implement long-term water resilience strategies and led efforts to develop product standards and improve building codes to conserve water.
Prior to joining NRDC, Quinn was a water resources engineer in Southern California, dealing with a wide range of water-related issues, including resources planning, infrastructure design, and stormwater regulation compliance. A registered civil engineer in California, Quinn earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural and biological engineering at Cornell University.
